How do I know a therapist is a good fit for me?
Finding the right therapist is like finding the right pair of shoes; it needs to feel comfortable, supportive, and like it truly fits. A good therapeutic fit means you feel safe, understood, and respected. At New View Therapy, we offer free 15–20 minute consultations so you can get a feel for our style, ask questions, and see if it feels like a good match. We want you to feel empowered in your decision.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can easily book an appointment by clicking the “Book Now” button on our website or by contacting us directly on the Booking Page or through our Contact page. We’ll walk you through the process and answer any questions you have before getting started.
What insurances do you accept?
We accept many insurance providers through Telus e-Claims and Manitoba Blue Cross. Please request a pre-determination to find out if your specific insurance provider is eligible for counselling services.
What if I don't have insurance?
If you do not have insurance, you can send an e-transfer before the session. Additionally, we can set up your credit card so you will be billed at the end of each session.
How long do people typically stay in therapy?
This varies widely depending on your goals and situation. Some clients come for short-term support during a life transition, while others find long-term therapy helpful for deep-rooted patterns or ongoing support. You’re never locked into a certain number of sessions. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.
How long is each therapy session?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes long. Occasionally, extended sessions (e.g., 75 minutes) may be offered for couples or more intensive work, and is based on request.
